There are currently 11 Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways available for Kent County High School students. Students can earn certificates and be program completers in pathways ranging from automotive and construction to teaching and nursing, giving them a headstart on a post-high school career.

APPRENTICESHIP MARYLAND

The Apprenticeship Maryland Program is for students ages 16 and up (juniors and seniors). This program is designed to lead to sustainable employment and further education based on career pathways in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) occupations as well as traditional occupational areas.
 
The program consists of at least one year of related classroom instruction and a workplace component of at least 450 hours. The workplace component is a paid (at least minimum wage) mentored, on-the-job, work experience with a written, student rating/work-based learning plan and a formal agreement among the student, school and employer.

Current Apprenticeship sites include Dixon Valve, Owings and Sons, Brickwood Homes Assisted Living, Modern Stone Age Kitchen, Greenscapes Landcare, Chesapeake CNC Manufacturing, Red Acres Hydroponics, Trident Marina
