The Kent County Public Schools Education Foundation provides an avenue for community members to support our school system, students and staff through charitable donations. This Foundation will enhance students' experiences and assist teachers in creating dynamic instructional programs.
Tax-deductible contributions to the Foundation will be used to support Kent County Public Schools teachers with mini-grants, cover the costs for field trips and fund other school system initiatives. The Foundation also is currently raising funds to renovate the planetarium at Kent County High School. Applications for funds are reviewed by the Foundation board. |

Among the initiatives the Kent County Public Schools Education Foundation is seeking your financial support for are:
 |
| Mini-grants for teachers
This grant program is open to Kent County Public Schools teachers, administrators and staff to help create dynamic instructional programs. The Foundation awards funds to support innovative projects that will positively impact student learning. Interdisciplinary and team-teaching projects are accepted.

Field Trips
Another goal of the Kent County Public Schools Education Foundation is to provide extra funding support for field trips to destinations outside of Kent County that highlight the significant historical and cultural resources beyond our community.
Your contribution could help a Kent County student take their first trip to a place like the Smithsonian, where they could see real dinosaur bones and NASA spacecraft, learn even more about historical figures like Frederick Douglass and grow their appreciation for art.

| Improvements to Kent County High School's planetarium One of the unique features of Kent County High School in Worton is that it has a fully operational planetarium. This incredible asset needs additional support from the community. While still functional, the equipment is very old, with manual dials and switches for controls and cassette tapes and slides for media. The planetarium has so much potential, not just for our students, but also the broader community. Help us turn the planetarium into an asset for everyone in Kent County to enjoy!
