On Oct. 25, 2021, the Kent County Board of Education approved Policy BCF-Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC is a channel for public concerns, advice, and communication and as requested, will make recommendations on topics and issues impacting the KCPS educational programs and activities. Two members of the Kent County Board of Education will facilitate the committee and preside as Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. Thirteen members will be appointed to the CAC; two members from every school, two community members at-large and one high school student. The committee will meet at a minimum four times per year and a quorum must be present to conduct meetings. The Board of Education adopted a formal application that will be used to appoint CAC members. Committee members will be appointed at the December Board meeting. | |
