What to do if this is happening?
1. Ask your child if everything is OK or have a conversation: Try saying, tell me what is wrong, how can I help you fall asleep
2. Create a bedtime routine to follow each night
3. Read books, stories, or get creative and make up silly stories. 
4. Say goodnight -hugs, high fives, tuck child in, kiss on cheek, etc.  Make it your own
5. Stop liquids and snacks at a certain time-certain drinks and foods can create anxiety or can keep your child up late at night. 
6. Get a night light in the bedroom or put a small light on each night
7. Leave the door cracked open
