Summer Reading Assignment

Summer Meal Distribution

Starting Monday, June 29, Kent County Public Schools will be distributing meals to any child 18 years old and under from 11:30-1:00 at the following locations:

Rock Hall Elementary School
Garnet Elementary School
Kent County Community Center
Woodsedge Apartments in Fairlee
Betterton Fire Hall
Millington Town Hall

Meals may also be picked up at our many mobile sites:  Brittany Bay Apartments at 11:45, Circle Park in Rock Hall at 12:15, Chestertown Landing at 11:30, Chestertown Cove at 12:00, Quaker Neck at 12:30, Brook Meadow Apartments at 11:30, Edge of Town Trailer Park at 12:00, Washington Park at 12:20, Center of Kennedyville at 11:45, and Knights Landing at 11:45.

Parents and Guardians may pick up meals for children.  This program will run Monday through Thursday until August 14.  Summer meals will not be distributed on July 2.

1. log into your AP account and make sure you are receiving College Board emails
2. Log on to take the practice demo test that was posted today to make sure you know how to test.
Senior Announcements


If you ordered announcements from Josten’s, they are being shipped directly to your home address.  More information on your Cap & Gown will be out later this week.  Thank you for your patience and please be reminded that you will be receiving your Cap & Gown earlier this year than previous years.  We are looking forward to Celebrating with you!   

Student Pick Up and Returning of Work Packets

Here is the KCHS Process for picking up and returning printed student work:

Picking Up Work:

  • Student work will be printed on Tuesday’s and will be available at preferred pick-up locations on Thursday’s.

    • If there is no preferred location, it will be available at KCHS from 9am-1pm on Thursdays.

Returning work:

  • Please make sure your name is on your documents before sending them to teachers.

  • Students can take pictures or scan documents from their phones and email it directly to their teachers

  • Students can come to KCHS on Thursday’s from 9am- 1pm to scan work on our copier in the vestibule.  Only 1 student will be allowed in the vestibule at a time.  

If your child(ren) no longer needs a printed packet, please let us know!

Good Evening KCHS Families!

Work Packets for KCHS students who requested paper copies of their assignments will be available for pick up tomorrow.  Packets can be picked up at the ‘Grab and Go’ meal site you requested or KCHS. KCHS will be open from 9am-11am for work to be picked up there.  If you have any questions, please call 410-778-4540 or email bcjones@kent.k12.md.us.  Thank you!
