Student Schedules

Greetings Members of the Illustrious KCHS FAMILY:

This is Dale Kevin Brown I, PROUD Principal of KCHS.

I extend my sincerest wishes that each of you are well and are continuing to exercise safe health related precautionary measures. This has been an enormously demanding and extremely stressful time for ALL of Our KCHS FAMILY.

This worldwide pandemic has been extremely burdensome on ALL of us, as well as, the stress associated with virtual learning. However, great opportunities always emerge out of our most trying times. Our KCHS faculty and staff has worked diligently since the beginning of last year during our professional development activities to review research supported scheduling options to maximize learning for Our CHILDREN. We unanimously decided that a four-period day would best suit the diverse learning style needs of Our CHILDREN. This schedule will afford Our CHILDREN the ability to earn four (4) credits per semester and eight (8) credits annually. Therefore, we have spent countless hours this summer converting the previous seven period day to a four-period day.  I am elated to announce that we are releasing the student schedules today, Thursday, August 27. Please review your CHILD’s schedule IMMEDIATELY in SCHOOLOGY and email your CHILD’s school counselor to schedule a phone conference if there are any questions or concerns. Time is of the essence. Please know how appreciative we are for your patience and continued support with this initiative that will prove beneficial for all of Our CHILDREN! We are looking forward to an exciting and rewarding school year! TROJAN STRONG! TROJAN TOUGH!... and Most Importantly TROJANS FOR LIFE!

From Technology:

Good Afternoon. Just a few notes for clarification:
1.) All KCPS students should access Schoology through Kent.schoology.com. This is our single sign in on which utilize their existing @students.kent.k12.md.us email rather than requiring them to remember yet another username and password
2.) The system indicates that the password was changed X number of days ago. This is because that is when the account was created.
3.) If you have issues accessing Schoology you should email Covidhelpdesk@kent.k12.md.us. Please be patient as we do not have building level techs that work over the summer and those whom we currently have in are busy preparing for the upcoming fall semester.
