Express Scripts
Beginning January 1, 2017 the Kent County Board of Education prescription benefit will be managed by Express Scripts. Express Scripts looks forward to putting its clinical experience and state-of-the-art technology to work for you.
Flexible Spending

Kent County Public Schools offers a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), whick is administered by Flexible Benefit Administrators

The two types of Flexible Spending Accounts are:
  1. Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (e.g.childcare). Maximum annual family contribution amount: $5,000.
  2. Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts (out-of-pocket healthcare expenses). Maximum annual contribution amount: $2,600.

Life Insurance
Employee Basic Life Coverage ($50,000)
Your family relies on you for their financial security. With this in mind, Kent County Public Schools (KCPS) is pleased to provide full-time employees who work 30 or more hours per week on a regular basis, a basic life insurance policy of $50,000. If you qualify for basic life insurance, you must complete beneficiary designation information during enrollment. KCPS offers all eligible employees the opportunity to purchase a supplemental life insurance (see below) in addition to the basic life coverage.
Employee Supplemental Life Coverge (up to $200,000)
Supplemental life is available to eligible full-time empoyees who work 30 or more hours per week on a regular basis. You are able to elect up to $200,000 coverage in encrements of $10,000.
Optional - 100% employee funded 
Employee Assistance Services
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides you and your household members with free, confidential assistance to help with personal and professional problems that may interfere with work or family responsibilities. This program is administered through Business Health Services.

Course Reimbursement
The Board reimburses a maximum of 12 credits per fiscal year, July 1 to June 30. Please verify your agreement regarding the amount per credit.
Payments will be made to those who submit all the requres materials on the following schedule:
The first pay of October, the first pay of Feburary and the last pay in June.
KCPS has a wellness committee. This committee is coordinated by the Human Resources Department.
