KCPS Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Registration POSTPONED

KCPS prekindergarten and kindergarten registration was scheduled to begin in May. However, due to the current health crisis in Maryland, these procedures will need to be rescheduled.

KCPS is looking into alternative viable dates and methods for the registration process for 2020-2021.

If you have a child that turns 4 years old on or before September 1, 2020, please email or call your child’s home school to get on the initial prekindergarten (Pre-K) registration list. Kent County offers a FREE full day Pre-K program to all Kent County residents.

Kindergarten is also a full day program and is not optional. All children who turn 5 by September 1 must register for kindergarten. Students already enrolled in KCPS Pre-K do not need to register again.

Please contact your child's home school to get on the registration list. You may need to leave a message and someone will get back to you. If you are unsure of the home school, call Susan Cooksey at 410-778-7116 for support.
