Discount Card Fundraiser Kick-Off August 21 @ 5pm in KCHS Auditorium

For the 2nd year we are going to offer the KCHS Athletic Boosters discount card fundraiser.  Last year in our first year ever offering the program, we raised $18,500 for KCHS athletics.  With the support of the KCHS community, we could easily surpass $20,000.  We sell the discount cards for $20 and keep $15 from every card sold.  Last year we split the $15 net profit 50/50 between the boosters general account and the fall sports teams that sold cards.  In hindsight we realized that we couldn't continue offering the program without finding a way to benefit ALL KCHS sports.

At our June general meeting we discussed options and ultimately decided to split the proceeds equally between Fall, Winter and Spring sports.  For a three sport athlete, $5 will be credited to each sport they play for every card sold.  For an athlete that may only play one sport, $5 would go to that sport and the balance would be credited to the boosters general account.

We spoke with the Fall coaches at Fall Sports Orientation and requested that ALL teams be present for our August 21st kick off meeting.  At the kick off meeting the program will be explained and cards will be distributed.  OUR CHALLENGE IS REACHING THE STUDENT ATHLETES, COACHES, AND PARENTS THAT ARE NOT INVOLVED WITH FALL SPORTS.  ALL athletes and ALL coaches are encouraged to participate.  We averaged nearly 7.5 cards sold per athlete last year and two programs raised in excess of $1,800.  Parents are not required to attend, however it would be great to have your support for what potentially is our largest fundraiser of the year.

If you are unable to attend and still wish to participate, please reach out to me directly to make other arrangements.
