Kent County Public Schools is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week, recognizing the important role our educators play in children's lives. Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10, with Tuesday, May 7 being recognized as National Teacher Day.

"During Teacher Appreciation Week, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers who dedicate themselves to shaping minds and nurturing spirits," said Dr. Karen Couch, superintendent of Kent County Public Schools. "Your unwavering commitment, passion and creativity empower students to reach their full potential and inspire a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are deeply thankful for the impact you make every day. Thank you for being champions of education and for shaping the future with your wisdom and guidance."

Blueprint: An overview from Kent County Public Schools – w/ link
KCPS provides summer enrichment experiences for students.Kent County Public Schools (KCPS) has established and implemented a summer school program for public school students to address the effects of the COVID–19 pandemic on education.

NWEA MAP data was used to determine eligibility along with formative/summative assessment data.  

Per the requirements of Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, each student who participated in summer school received an educational assessment prior to beginning the program and on completion of the program. These assessments were used to evaluate program outcomes.
