Alert: Bomb Threat
At the end of the school day, the Kent County High School administration was alerted of a potential bomb threat at the school. The Kent County Sheriff’s Office has taken the lead in this situation at this time and is working hand-in-hand with Kent County Public Schools (KCPS) administration.
The Sheriff’s Office will be utilizing bomb dogs to assess the situation and clear the building of any potential threat. In the morning, the Sheriff's Office will provide additional police presence to ensure the safety of students.
This investigation is ongoing and KCPS will continue to keep parents and the community updated as needed.
