Supporting Families: Navigating the World of Special educatioE, prsenteds by the Kent County Family Support Resource Center

CHESTERTOWN — Do you know of a family struggling to understand the Special Education world?
 
Or do you yourself as an educator have your own questions?
 
Do you have a student struggling in your classroom?
 
Join the Kent County Family Support Resource Center for a virtual workshop "Supporting Families: Navigating the World of Special Education" from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18.
 
Meet the different members of the IEP (Individualized Education Plan) team and learn how to work with them to support your child's or student's educational journey.
 
Learn what the assessment process is all about and understand your role as a parent or educator to help your child or student.
Hear from specialists in occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychology and physical therapy, as well as a general education teacher and a special education teacher.
