KCPS students open for orchestra
CHESTERTOWN — Galena Elementary School students, lead by music teacher Ashton Mooday, open for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in Chestertown's waterfront Wilmer Park Saturday, Aug. 6. Playing bucket drums donated by Home Depot, the students performed the Panic! at the Disco song "High Hopes." CHESTERTOWN — Music teacher Jodi Bortz and her students bring some calypso to Wilmer Park Saturday, Aug. 6 as they play along to Harry Belfonte's classic "Jump in the Line" on bucket drums provided by JBK Ace Hardware. The students, from H.H. Garnet and Rock Hall elementary schools, provided opening entertainment for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra concert in the Chestertown park that evening.
