Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief (ESSER III) grants were awarded to school districts in Maryland due to the COVID-19 pandemic. KCPS received $5,233,195 for three years. Twenty percent must be used for learning loss and the remaining funds can be used per the allowable expenditures noted in the grant application.
