There was a report made Tuesday, Sept. 17 at Kent County Middle School involving a student who allegedly made a threatening slideshow and peers reported it. School administrators were notified and took swift action with the assistance of local law enforcement officers. Searches of the student and the building were conducted and no weapons were found. The student is currently in the care of law enforcement officers. Kent County Middle School students are safe in their classrooms and the school day is continuing as normal. School counselors are available for students. The middle school will proceed with regular dismissal this afternoon.
