WORTON — The Tuesday after Thanksgiving has come to be known as Giving Tuesday, a day for nonprofit organizations to raise money in the holiday spirit.
This Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29, the Kent County Public Schools Education Foundation Fund is participating in Mid-Shore Gives, a 24-hour fundraiser sponsored by Mid-Shore Community Foundation.
As part of Mid-Shore Gives, tune into the Kent County High School radio station 90.5 WKHS on your FM dial.
Join students and special guests from morning to midday Nov. 29 as they raise money for the KCPS Education Foundation and Mid-Shore Gives.
The Kent County Public Schools Education Foundation Fund provides an avenue for community members to support our school system, students and staff through charitable donations.
Tax-deductible contributions to the foundation will be used to support Kent County Public Schools teachers with mini-grants, cover the costs for field trips and fund other school system initiatives.
The foundation also is currently raising funds to renovate the planetarium at Kent County High School to make it not just a resource for KCPS students, but also the entire community.
The Kent County Public Schools Education Foundation Fund is a component fund of Mid-Shore Community Foundation, a public foundation designated as a 501(c)(3) charity. Donations to the Fund are tax-deductible as allowed by law. A copy of Mid-Shore Community Foundation’s financial statement is available at www.mscf.org
