ROCK HALL — Planning efforts are getting underway for the 2025-26 school calendar.
Kent County Public Schools staff, family members and the broader community are all invited to offer their input on the calendar preparations.
An online survey is open now through Friday, Dec. 13.
As with all public schools in Maryland, our calendar must include 180 days with students in the classroom.
Our survey goal is to learn what start and end dates and holiday breaks are most important to families and staff.
To meet the 180 days though, our calendar committee and the Kent County Board of Education will have to find a balance between requested days off and required classroom time.
