This season, the Baltimore Ravens are teaming up with the Baltimore Sun to present the Ravens RISE High School Football Showdown. And your varsity football game next week is in the running to be selected for this honor!

If your contest is the one selected, you will receive a visit to your game from the Ravens mascot, Poe, and Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders who will sign autographs and take photos with fans, and a $1,500 donation will be awarded to your athletic department. Also, your team will receive t-shirts to commemorate their experience playing in the Ravens RISE High School Football Showdown.

This week, your school’s football game has been one of the three games nominated to be showcased through this program! Here is who you are up against:

  • Annapolis @ North County (10/19 @ 6:30 PM)
  • Kent Island @ Easton (10/19 @ 6:30 PM)
  • Kent County @ Cambridge – South Dorchester (10/19 @ 6:30 PM)

Dylan placed 11th overall individual out of 87 individuals at the World Dairy Expo.
The team placed 1st in the Holstein breed, which included placing a class of heifers and cows and giving oral reasons on both classes. Although no Maryland team member finished 1st, they were consistant throughout their judging of the 10 classes and their reasons which earned them the covetted 3rd spot invited to Europe!!!

The PSATs have been rescheduled for October 24th at 8am. Students will be called by announcement to the auditorium. All 10th graders have been registered to take the PSAT for free. Students in grades 9 and 11 who wish to take the test must register in guidance by October 22nd. The registration fee is $16. 

Juniors who scored well on their PSAT in grade 10 should consider registering in order to qualify for a National Merit Scholarship.
