English Summer Reading/Writing Requirement-Summer 2017

Summer assignments are due on September 11th, 2017

Prompt:

Using a novel from the attached 2017 Summer Reading List, analyze the conflict in the story and how it helps communicate the author’s purpose in the novel. Remember that conflict can be between characters, can be with a character and the setting, can pertain to a specific time period, etc., i.e. any struggle between opposing forces. Your paper should discuss how the conflict contributes to the rising action, climax, and resolution of the plot.

Your response must be typed in Times New Roman, no less than one page in length, no larger than size twelve font, double-spaced, and must NOT be a summary.
