Welcome Back!
Each 8th grader will receive a brand new laptop this year to help KCPS fulfill an integral part of its mission to personalize learning for students. Your child is expected to use this same laptop until they graduate. In order to keep the laptop protected, KCPS is requiring parents or guardians to select one of the following options:
1. Technology Fee ($40)
2. Group Insurance ($80)
3. Proof of homeowner or renter insurance
The attached letter explains the options in more detail.
In addition your child will need to return the following completed forms on Wednesday, August 31st in order to receive a laptop on that day. These forms will be handed to your child to take home on Tuesday, August 30th.

Responsible Use Procedures (parent and student signature required)
Student laptop contract (parent/ guardian signature)
Optional: Group Insurance (attached- fill in child's name and serial number of the computer which is listed on the laptop contract)
